One of the Wiggles’ favourite friends, Wags the Dog, was in Toronto this weekend (September 25 - 27, 2009) to meet with his fans and help the fundraising efforts of local community groups.
On Friday, Wags visited lucky youngsters at the Oakville Parent-Child Centre for a special story time treat before posing for pictures. The children enjoyed the special visit and even performed a few Wiggles dances to make Wags feel at home.
After a busy day taking in the Blue Jays game on Saturday, which included cheering the team on to a come-from-behind victory, Wags made his way to Vaughan Mills Mall on Sunday.
Children and parents alike had a chance to meet Wags, take their photo with him and donate money towards the Vaughan Food Bank. Children were treated to a little one-on-one time with Wags, sitting and playing with him, while parents captured the memory on film.
After his two hour visit, it was announced that $350.00 had been raised for families in need through the Food Bank. Wags also left with a few treats of his own as his little fans brought home made dog bones for him.
The Wiggles perform their brand new live show, The Wiggles Go Bananas at Rogers Centre on October 24 and 25 during four performances.
