ROGERS CENTRE TOURS: a behind the scene look at the past, present and future of Rogers Centre
Rogers Centre has been home to many memorable moments in sport and entertainment over the years. Remaining one of the world’s best multi-purpose event venues, Rogers Centre has gone through renovations and improvements over the last two years to ensure that guests and promoters continue to enjoy their time in the facility.
Come down and take part in the Rogers Centre Tour Experience which gets you a peak at the history of the building and shows you the ongoing transformations that keep guests returning for multiple events. In addition to touring the Rogers Centre Museum, this is your ticket to exploring every level of the stadium from the field to the roof. Learn how the building was designed and what goes in to hosting multiple events.
Rogers Centre Tours, lasting approximately one hour in length, are offered daily at a variety of different times to suit your schedule. Tours can be conducted in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and German when booked in advance. Specialty tours, focusing on architecture, engineering or any other area of interest can be arranged with a quick phone call to the Tour Office.Call 416-341-2771 to reserve your spot. The Rogers Centre Tours entrance is conveniently located between Gates 1 & 2 on the main concourse area facing Front Street. Ticket prices range from $7.95 for children under 12 to $13.40 for adults. Roger Waters has been in the public eye since he first founded Pink Floyd in 1965 along with Syd Barrett, Richard Wright and Nick Mason. After the departure of Barrett, Waters began to take the band in a new artistic direction and they enjoyed critical success throughout the 1970’s and beyond. He was also the mastermind behind the majority of many of Pink Floyd’s symbols including the Pink Floyd Pigs and the marching hammers.
On Saturday, July 14, Rogers Waters performs the masterpiece “The Dark Side of the Moon” live at Rogers Centre. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, a special block of 500 Level tickets, priced at $39.50, are now on sale. This is a great opportunity to see the epic rock masterpiece in person.
Originally released in 1973, The Dark Side of the Moon immediately established a standard of excellence for its advanced blend of progressive music, philosophical themes, and sonic exploration. TORONTO BLUE JAYS SCHEDULE AND NOTABLE NEWS
Through shear determination and a strong belief in themselves, the Toronto Blue Jays are letting everyone know they have their eyes firmly focused on the top spot in the American League East Division. The team overcame a nine game losing streak to post an overall 11 – 16 record (not including game played on 5/31) with a seven to five game advantage on home soil. This month, fans have the chance to see teams from the National League as Interleague Play brings the Washington Nationals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies to town.
CHICAGO blows into town from May 31 – June 3, 2007
This is the first meeting between the two clubs this season. The Jays will fly into the windy city in July.

Dave Stieb returns to Toronto as part of Flashback Friday presented by the FAN590. He will be signing autographs from 5:45 – 6:30 p.m. in section 6A. This is also the first night of the weekend long Lady Jays Food Drive in support of the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable canned foods and household cleaning items to the game. If you don’t have anything in your cupboard there’s no need to worry as monetary donations are also welcomed.

The Lady Jays Food Drive continues today. Individuals who donate $5.00 in food items or cash will receive an autographed player card. Individuals donating $20.00 will receive an autographed hat (while supplies last).

Bring your camera to the ball park and take your photo with the Blue Jays as the team hosts their pregame Energizer Fan Photo Day. Kids 14 and under also have the chance to receive a Vernon Wells kids glove.

It’s also the second of five Babies at the Ballpark days. Bring your youngest fan to the game and enjoy a special family section complete with stroller check, diaper changing tables,baby wipes and fruit juices all free and convenient for your use.

The second Friday home game of the month is here and the Blue Jays welcome back closer Tom Henke. Henke pitched for the Jays from 1985 – 1992 twice recording 34 saves on the season.

THE BOATMEN COME TO SHORE TO START 2007 CAMPAIGN
Toronto Argonauts Football begins another season of action on the gridiron with a preseason match-up versus the MONTREAL ALOUETTES on June 9, 2007. The last time these two clubs met, the Alouettes beat the Argos in the East Division Championship to end the 2006 season.
The Boatmen will officially start the 2007 season on Thursday, June 28th when they host the 2006 Grey Cup champion B.C Lions at 6:30 p.m. Toronto dropped both games to the Lions last season and will be looking for a change of fortune.

Be part of a great weekend of Football festivities as the Vanier Cup and Grey Cup are contested at Rogers Centre in November.
The Vanier Cup awarded annually in Canadian University Football since 1965, returns to Toronto on Friday, November 23rd after a two year hiatus. The LAVAL ROUGE-ET-OR have won three of the last four Vanier Cups and look to keep that winning streak alive. Tickets for this event are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Rogers Centre (Gate 7), charge by phone at 416-872-5000 or online at ticketmaster.ca. Only 500 Level seats are are available without the purchase of a Grey Cup seat.
East and West face-off to crown a Grey Cup champion two days later on Sunday, November 25, 2007. Tickets for the Grey Cup are available through Ticketmaster. Platinum ($529.00)*, Gold ($309.00) and Crimson ($255.00) level seat purchases include a Vanier Cup ticket. Cambridge level tickets are available for $169.00 and Oxford seats are already sold out. There is a limit of 12 tickets per purchase.

DUTCH VIOLINIST PLAYS TWO SHOWS AT ROGERS CENTRE
With the recent addition of a second show, André Rieu will dazzle fans during his first indoor full-stadium show in December at Rogers Centre. Planning an elaborate full-stadium show complete with replica Viennese castle, skating rinks, fountains, horses, dancers and his 50 member Johann Strauss orchestra, this is the social event of the season. Feel as though you have traveled to Europe without leaving the city!
Be part of history and join the largest crowd to ever watch an indoor classical music concert. The concerts, hosted December 14th and 15th, 2007 will start at 8:00 p.m. Groups of 20 or more are encouraged to send an email to groupsales@rogerscentre.com. DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL HEATS UP THE ICE
Feld Entertainment, along with Kenny Ortega, are bringing the hit phenomenon HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: THE ICE TOUR to ROGERS CENTRE from December 21 – 30, 2007 for 10 spectacular shows.
Audiences will celebrate the sounds, the songs, the bop and the pop in this awesome ice show starring a cast of world class skaters portraying the roles of East High’s own, Troy, Gabriella, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad and Taylor. They will be performing to the chart-topping tunes with signature choreography made popular in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie and pop culture craze. And, for the first time live, fans will have the opportunity to experience moments from Disney’s High School Musical 2. With the ice as the dance floor, this event will be an unprecedented twist on a fan favourite.
