125TH POLICE GAMES HAVE NEW LOOK AND FEEL
The tradition and purpose behind mounting the annual Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Associations’ Police Games remains the same; fundraising for the Toronto Police Widows & Orphans Fund through friendly competition. The execution, this year, takes on a new look and feel on Saturday, September 22, 2007.

This year, the TPAAA has teamed up with Canadian Idol to pay tribute to our Canadian Armed Forces and the many men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting our country and its citizens. There will be a special appearance by Canadian Idol finalists in addition to members of the Armed Forces participating and competing in this year’s event.

The evening event has something for every age group and is a great alternative to staying home and watching television. The Widows and Orphans Fund was created in 1952 to assist families and retired members when needed. Currently, the Fund serves approximately 8,500 active and retired members and has paid over $14 million since 1984 in survivor benefits.

Tickets are on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Rogers Centre – Gate 7, online at ticketmaster.ca or charge by phone at 416-870-8000. Tickets are $12.00 per person or $38.00 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Children 5 years of age and younger are admitted free of charge.

Complete event details can be found here.
