| Only International Stop of Race Schedule |
Australian Chad Reed, this year’s series leader, has emerged from Carmichael’s shadow and looks to repeat his winning ways in Toronto. In December 2006, Reed claimed the checkered flag with a dominating win finishing nearly seven seconds ahead of second place finisher Carmichael. James Stewart was third.
Thus far in the 2008 season, Chad Reed has won three of the first four races and finished second in the other. In the two races in which he competed, Stewart finished second and then first but has not seen any action over the last two weeks due to a preseason injury. He is expected to make a full recovery and return to race competition.
Stewart, not one to shy away from television cameras, took the time during a rare off day to appear on the January 7th edition of NBC’s hit game show Deal or No Deal (hosted by Canadian Howie Mandel) when he rode his 2008 Kawasaki KX450F race bike on stage. As a fan of the show, Stewart knew exactly how the game worked and was quick to help contestant Guy Goudeau win some money.
Race action heats up on Saturday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m. Practcie and qualifying rounds, held in the afternoon, are open to all ticket holders. During this time, general admission seating will be available to those in attendance.

PERMISSION GRANTED FOR NFL GAMES TO BE PLAYED IN CANADA

| Bills receive permission to play at alternate game sites |
Goodell confirmed that the NFL and its owners went through a very diligent and thorough process and have approved a plan that sees the Bills play a total of eight games in Toronto over the next five years.
The Bills will play one regular season game each year with the addition of a preseason game in alternating years over that period of time. Goodell highlighted that the League felt this was "great for all fans." He also underlined that the CFL, and its success, is important to them.
No formal details have been released at this time from the Bills or the NFL but rogerscentre.com will keep you posted on how you can become part of the action.

ROGERS CENTRE ENVIRONMENTAL LEADER IN ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Since purchasing the building almost three years ago, Rogers has taken an active roll in providing key resources towards to updating and upgrading of the facility. The expansion of the 100L concourse, change to Field Turf as the playing surface, and even hot water in the venue restrooms are all customer focused projects that have helped return the venue to the top of its game.
Once known as an energy hog due to the vast size of the facility and the constant buzz of activity, Rogers Centre is now focused on a bright future of environmental conservation with the installation of a brand new, state-of-the-art, energy saving lighting system from Encelium.
With the new lighting system, which is now operational in all parts of the venue including parking, suites, office space, hallways and anything in between will enable Rogers Centre to cut its energy consumption starting immediately.
The new Encelium system has many user friendly features all designed to provide personal control with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Employee computer stations are now equipped with software that allows for personal control of work area lighting levels. No longer does an employee have to operate in an area with 100% lighting output if such brightness is not needed.
The Daylight Harvesting element is an application of significant improvement and partnership as lighting levels are reduced based on the amount of sunlight naturally occurring in the space. As sunlight and environmental brightness increases, lights are automatically adjusted and dimmed so as not to over illuminate an area of the venue. Motion sensors have also been installed in all high traffic and public areas which will automatically turn lights off after a period of inactivity in the space, as well as instantly turn them on when someone enters the room.
What does this mean? In a practical application, this new lighting system allows for maximum personalization to various spaces throughout the venue, a more comfortable and safe working and guest environment and a huge step forward in the fight for corporate responsibility.
