As Blue Jays fans gear up for the 2008 baseball season, Levy Restaurants, the restaurant company that provides premium catering for Sightlines Restaurant and the luxury suites at Rogers Centre, is also getting ready to step up to the plate. Levy Restaurants Executive Chef Rodney Meynert has spent the off-season working on exciting new additions to the menu, offering a balance of upscale amenities and new twists on traditional baseball food that will debut at the Blue Jays season opener on Friday, April 4 when the Blue Jays take on the Boston Red Sox.
New in 2008 is the Jr. Chef Day & Kids Chef’s Tables. For the youngest Blue Jays fans, the Levy Restaurants team at Rogers Centre will be hosting Jr. Chef Days, allowing kids to get an up close and personal view of what it takes to be an executive chef at Rogers Centre.
On May 25, June 7, July 27 and August 10, all kids age 10 and under in Sightlines Restaurant will be personally invited to visit the production kitchen with Executive Chef Rodney Meynert. Participants will create a delicious dessert under the watchful eye of Levy’s talented culinary staff, and all Jr. Chefs will leave with their dessert, an autographed chef’s hat and a Polaroid with Chef Meynert. Additionally, Chef Meynert has created a Kids Chef’s Table at Sightlines Restaurant targeted to kids age 8 and under. Kids Chef’s Tables are similar to the adult versions, but on a smaller scale, with a miniature table that is just their size. The kid-sized Chef’s Table will feature mini hot dogs, chicken tenders, mini cheese and pepperoni pizza, homemade spuds, fruity jell-o and an assortment of fresh fruit.
Fans can enjoy a wonderful meal and baseball game all from the comfort of the open-air Sightlines Restaurant directly over looking the field. Call 416-341-2424 to make your reservation.
