Sesame Street delights morning crowd

Elmo, along with Big Bird and friends,
sing and dance in interactive performance
Cookie Monster dreams of being a firefighter

Sesame Street fans of all ages came out to Rogers Centre this morning to enjoy the first of seven Sesame Street Live “When Elmo Grows Up” performances.

Parents and children alike danced in their seats, sang along to traditional tunes and even learned a few dance moves as Elmo and friends tried to figure out what to be when they grow up.

Opening the show with Sunny Days, a Sesame Street classic, Big Bird and Elmo kicked off the 90-minute interactive show. Unfortunately, while Elmo was inspired to try every job from firefighter to forest ranger to weather person, Big Bird was finding it hard to decide.

Fans can come down to Rogers Centre beginning tonight at 7:00 p.m. to find out what both Big Bird and Elmo decide to be when they grow up. All the fun and excitement of Sesame Street Live “When Elmo Grows Up” continues with three performances on Saturday (10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m. & 5:30 p.m.) and two more on Sunday (1:00 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.).
