U2 NO LONGER ON THE HORIZON WITH THEIR SEPTEMBER STOP

| U2 perform on larger than life stage for two stadium shows |
The biggest set ever built for a rock tour lands at the only location in Toronto able to accommodate such a behemoth: Rogers Centre! For two nights in September legendary Irish band, U2 bring their iconic sound and memorable shows to life in support of their latest album NO LINE ON THE HORIZON. Fans waiting for the band to return to the gigantic live shows they put on in the 90s will not be disappointed as U2 360° TOUR dwarfs everything they have done in the past. A magnificent evening will be had by every U2 fan on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 and THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 at 7:00 p.m.
The new show was unveiled on Wednesday, July 1 as the band kicked off the U2 360 ° TOUR in Barcelona, Spain. The 90,000 capacity crowd were the first witnesses to the latest handiwork by longtime U2 collaborators WILLIE WILLIAMS and MARK FISHER. The magicians behind U2 stage shows since ZOOTV, took a dramatic new approach to the staging. Creating a huge, circular set dominated by at 164-ft claw in the middle, fans now have an unobstructed view of BONO, THE EDGE, ADAM CLAYTON and LARRY MULLEN JR. Working for five years to perfect this style of frame, WILLIAMS and FISHER have included spectacular touches such as two moving footbridges, two circular catwalks, giant video screens, wildly flashing lights and of course, plenty of dry ice.
Toronto will get its moment to bask in this megalithic show shortly after U2 finishes the European leg of the tour and starts their North American trek. Mixing their latest material with songs that have embedded U2 in the annals of rock history, these live shows give fans everything they love about their favourite band in one package.
Releasing their 12th studio album in March, fans went wild for NO LINE ON THE HORIZON as the album promptly debuted at No. 1 on THE BILLBOARD 200. Not only does this mark the seventh time the band has immediately taken No. 1 on the charts, they now have the distinction of ranking just behind THE BEATLES and THE ROLLING STONES as a rock group with the most No. 1 albums on the chart in history.
More of an experience than a concert, U2 brings fans, pomp, circumstance and SNOW PATROL as the opening band, along with hard-hitting rock and roll this September at Rogers Centre.
Add an extra element of excitement to the evening, and watch the show from one of our luxury suites. Call our Luxury Suite Department at 416-341-1635 for more information.

| Argos blast back to the past in September |
For the second year in a row the CFL rolls out the successful RETRO GAMES and this season honours the 1960's. A decade that witnessed the 1962 FOG BOWL, and the skills of DICK SHATTO, RUSS JACKSON, RON LANCASTER and ANGELO MOSCA, the sixties provided highly competitive and entertaining games for football fans. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 at 7:00 p.m. brings the sixties to Rogers Centre as the TORONTO ARGONAUTS and the HAMILTON TIGER-CATS suit up in their retro uniforms and take to the field.
The only home game for the Boatmen in September, the RETRO HOME GAME is sure to delight old and new fans alike. Treats, tributes and trivia from the sixties dominate the evening and honour an exciting decade in CFL history. Not only did the 1962 FOG BOWL go down in history as the only GREY CUP game ever suspended during play, this battle between the WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS and the HAMILTON TIGER-CATS in Toronto is considered one of the top 10 GREY CUP games of all time. This was also the decade that introduced LIMITED INTERLOCKING PLAY and had PIERRE TRUDEAU present the 1969 GREY CUP to the winning team.
In partnership with REEBOK, throwback uniforms, sideline gear and fan wear add to the festivities of the evening. Fans get a chance to see these East Division rivals dressed in old-school team uniforms and also have the opportunity to wear a little retro magic themselves.
Get a head start on the groovy action and festivities by picking up your ticket and channeling your sixties nostalgia today!
Single tickets are on-sale via all Ticketmaster outlets, including Rogers Centre - Gate 7, charge by phone at 416-870-8000 or online.

MEXICAN SUPERSTAR BRINGS HIS SIGNATURE VOICE TO ROGERS CENTRE
![]() |
| An evening of traditional Mexican music arrives in December |
THE IDOL OF MEXICO, VICENTE FERNÁNDEZ brings his talent, charm and over 35 years of performing to Rogers Centre for a spectacular evening of song. A performer who has entertained the masses throughout the Latin world with his traditional ranchera genre of music, he has become a Mexican cultural icon for his songs and acting. Experience an evening of song and festivity this SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre.
In a story that is part fairytale and part inspiration, FERNÁNDEZ was performing long before he became a household name. His singing career got off to a rocky start when, as a boy, he sang in a festival and was booed by the crowd. Impervious to their criticisms, he continued to perform entering competitions, busking on the street and appearing on television shows. All the while, he continued to lobby for recording contracts and make his own album.
A break came for FERNÁNDEZ and from 1966 onwards, he became one of the most respected traditional singers in Mexico. The voice that once brought boos had been honed over the years with hard work and dedication and FERNÁNDEZ created a signature sound that has wooed fans for decades. This mesmerizing and emotional voice allowed him to connect with audiences, which has resulted in 100-plus albums that have sold in excess of 50 million copies.
Along with his voice, FERNÁNDEZ is also revered for his traditional style of music. The ranchera genre of music focuses on songs about love, patriotism or nature and FERNÁNDEZ has also incorporated his own humble beginnings using everyman song lyrics to connect with his audience.
This evening combines the visual splendor of traditional Mexican dress, including sombreros and mariachi outfits, with the songs and sounds of VICENTE FERNÁNDEZ. Prepare for an evening to remember at Rogers Centre this December.
