"Celebrate Summer at Rogers Centre™" Contest Rules
1. (a) This contest is open to residents of Canada, excluding residents of Quebec, (18) eighteen years of age and older except employees of Rogers, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and agents, the contest suppliers and those with whom they are domiciled. The contest is subject to all applicable provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
(b) To enter, visit www.rogerscentre.com, click on the contest link and properly complete the online entry form (photocopies, facsimiles or other reproductions will not be eligible) between Monday, July 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 3:00 pm (the “Contest Closing Date”). No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this contest. Free access to the internet is available from most public libraries.
(c) Only one (1) entry per person/email address per twenty four (24) hour period. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this contest will be the contest server machine(s).
2. Participants will be eligible to win one (1) grand prize consisting of:
- Overnight stay, on Saturday, August 22, 2009, for up to four (4) persons at the Renaissance Toronto Hotel Downtown in a bi-level hotel suite overlooking the Rogers Centre playing (value $899.00). On the afternoon of Saturday, August 22, 2009 the Toronto Blue Jays are scheduled to play the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim,
- Breakfast brunch for up to four (4) persons at Arriba Restaurant on Sunday, August 23, 2009(value $92.00),
- Voucher for up to four (4) persons for the Rogers Centre Tour Experience(value $55.00), and
- Voucher for round trip for two (2) persons on Via Rail Business class for travel in the Windsor Quebec City Corridor (as defined by Via Rail) (value $1200.00 prior to taxes). This voucher will expire on June 30, 2010.
Only the items specifically listed herein are included in the grand prize and any other expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner, including, but not limited to, transportation to and from Rogers Centre, any lodging and food not specified, spending money, and personal expenses. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.
3. (a) A random draw, by a representative of Rogers Stadium Limited Partnership ("Rogers"), from all completed online entry forms received as of the Contest Closing Date will be made on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Rogers office at 1 Blue Jays Way, Suite 3200, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 1J1. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone at the telephone number indicated on the selected entrant's entry form.
(b) If a selected entrant cannot be reached by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2009 or declines the prize, another entrant will be selected on or before August 7, 2009.
(c) In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, posed by telephone. In the event that a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill testing question, another entrant will be selected on or before August 7, 2009. Rogers’ judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of prizes.
4. Contestants will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner.
5. By entering this contest, each contestant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers, its affiliates and/or their advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winners consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation. All entries become the property of Rogers.
6. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant(s). To receive a copy of the contest rules or a list of the winners, send a postage paid, self-addressed envelope on or before August 5, 2009 to 1 Blue Jays Way, Suite 3200, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 1J1 Attn: "Marketing Department – Celebrate Summer at Rogers Centre".
7. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries. Rogers is unaware of how many entrants there may be. The winner(s) may come from any geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the contest.
8. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Rogers. Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
9. All entries become property of the Rogers who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. Rogers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the email portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
10. Rogers is collecting personal data about entrants, and will use same to administer this Contest. Rogers will retain and treat the information in accordance with its privacy policy, available at www.rogerscentre.com/policies and by entering this contest you specifically consent to same. Informational and/or marketing communications may be received by the entrant in accordance with this policy. If you wish to change your preferences at any time, please contact Rogers as indicated in the foregoing privacy policy.
11. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment or modification by Rogers in its reasonable discretion (e.g. modification to avoid a contestant undermining the fairness of the contest). Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the contest.
12. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
