TORONTO BLUE JAYS AWARD ARAMARK WITH ROGERS CENTRE FOOD AND BEVERAGE CONTRACT
(Philadelphia, PA) - The Toronto Blue Jays have reached a ten year food and beverage services agreement with ARAMARK – a world class leader
in professional services. Under terms of the agreement, ARAMARK will provide Rogers Centre with general and club level concessions as well as
manage the HSBC Club VIP Restaurant. ARAMARK has already transitioned into its role as food and beverage provider at the Centre.
The new partnership will seek to elevate the dining experience for Blue Jays fans and all guests attending events at Rogers Centre. In an effort to
offer the widest possible variety of menu offerings and provide the highest quality of service, ARAMARK and the Blue Jays will be reaching out to
Jays’ fans to conduct a series of fan-based research initiatives to determine fan preferences.
"We look forward to working with both the Blue Jays organization and its fans to create a unique dining experience at Rogers Centre," said Liza
Cartmell, Group President, ARAMARK Sports and Entertainment. "I’m confident our operational expertise and culinary talent will lead to the
development of new and innovative food and beverage services and solutions that will enhance the overall game day experience."
"We’re extremely pleased to have ARAMARK on board as our new food service provider and we are looking forward to working with ARAMARK to develop an
improved concessions program for our fans," commented Paul Godfrey, President & CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays.
ARAMARK assumed control of operations on March 28th and executed its first major event, AMA Supercross, just one day later. With limited time to
prepare and acclimate itself with the Rogers Centre’s operation, ARAMARK utilized its vast resources and industry-leading expertise to successfully
serve 25,000 fans in attendance.
This partnership with the Blue Jays further expands ARAMARK’s sports and entertainment presence in Canada, which currently includes GM Place in
Vancouver, Lansdowne Park in Ottawa and Scotiabank Place in Kanata.
With the addition of Rogers Centre, ARAMARK now provides professional services at 15 Major League Baseball stadiums: Atlanta's Turner Field,
Anaheim's Angel Stadium, Baltimore’s Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Boston's Fenway Park, Denver’s Coors Field, Houston’s Minute Maid Park, Kansas
City’s Kauffman Stadium, Minneapolis’ Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, New York's Shea Stadium, Oakland’s McAfee Coliseum, Philadelphia’s Citizens
